Microsoft Virtual PC and Windows Server 2003

28 01 2007

I installed Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 in my Windows XP Pro box and I have not seen a Virtual Machine giving ultimate Support like what Microsoft Virtual PC has given me

I installed Windows Server 2003 in my Windows XP Pro box laptop . The performance is excellent. My machine configuration is,

  • Intel Pentium Mobile Centrino 1.59 GHZ
  • 512 MB RAM

I allocated 128 MB RAM for Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

Installation of Windows Server 2003 went fine and It didnt take much time to install. The loading of Windows Server 2003 was slow until I installed the Virtual PC Additions. Then, the Server was just like I would have installed in my laptop. Even VMware has not given me this Performance.Hats off to Virtual PC !!!

Enjoy !
